ATLAS SHRUGGED TO BE FEATURED ON STOSSEL'S NEW SHOW?

The Daily Beast interviewed John Stossel about his new show on Fox. As we've been admirers of both Stossel and Ayn Rand for many years, we were heartened to read the following:

Tell me a little bit about what the show is going to be.

It will be one subject. The first subject will be maybe Atlas Shrugged or global warming—Atlas Shrugged because I think 50 years ago, Ayn Rand predicted today. It sort of sums up what I’m going to be reporting about.


Ayn Rand predicted what?

Big government, nice-sounding legislation like “The Preservation of Livelihood Law,” which mandated that Hank Rearden’s production must not be bigger than any other steel mill, to make it a level playing field. It’s silly.


Is that a new law passed by this Congress?

No, but it’s what Wesley Mouch, the evil bureaucrat in the book, passed. And what Tim Geithner and what Barney Frank might like to pass.

Suffice it to say, we'll be tuning in.

There are so many ways to take this...

Sensationalize it? "OMG Vicious Attack on Freedom-Loving Patriot!"

Trivialize it? "He gave a digit he didn't really need anyway..."

Poke fun at it? "Tasty Morsel Surrendered at Health Care Rally"

Or just say it for what it is:

A fight broke out between two guys at a health care rally, one got nasty and other other bit his finger off.

In any case, please keep it off the news tonight.

ObamaCare Supporter Bites Off Finger Of Protester...

This means it will be all over Fox...Hannity, O'Reilly & Greta.

The finger-eating episode was posted on the Examiner.

The left is losing this battle of truthful words, so it’s time to resort to violence. We are witnessing more bussed in SEIU, and HCAN (ACORN, SEIU, and Congressional Black Caucus), Obama supporters and seeing evidence of highly organized HCAN, ACORN and MoveOn.org disruptors to muddy the water and intimidate the concerned American people.

As much as socialized medicine, the Left and their antics suck, those who support freedom should not get distracted by sensationalizing this.

If this becomes sensationalized, here is how the Left will play it: While its unfortunate that he lost his finger, at least he had health care to take care of him while 47 million other Americans don't.

There were two actors in this scene and sensationalizing a finger-biting incident will only give the Left a way to poke fun that those opposed to socialized medicine.
